Back in the day I used to be a kind of amateur anime artist haha, today I wanted to share a couple of pictures with you as a sort of trip down memory lane…
The one you see above was done late 2008/2009 time, I never really get into doing backgrounds so much and tended to focus on the character more, I was really proud of the hair on this one XD;

At the time I really enjoyed drawing moe style and decided thats what I wanted to try and be good at, I started drawing in 2005 and had pretty much stopped (drawing anime at least) around 2009. There was no real reason as to why I wasn’t given any harsh criticism that really upset me or anything lol I just got tired of it and wanted to try something different!
At one point I even had the honour(?) of someone trying to steal my art and they were trying to claim it as their own, a sort of highlight of my drawing career, either that or they really couldn’t find anything better to steal that day XD;
As you might of noticed I only really ever drawn females, I think I drawn a total of about 3 males and the rest were females or various mimi females as well, I don’t even have any of the male ones laying around to even prove it to you D:

I entered a couple of contests back then as well but never won anything, both on art sites and blogs, they were a lot of fun though! I learnt so much trying to draw anime and CG in photoshop and use photoshop for so much more as a result these days.
All in all the time I spent drawing and developing my skills as an anime artist (if im allowed to call myself that haha) was a lot of fun, its just a shame I lost interest in it in the end, who knows maybe someday i’ll pick up a pencil and take up again sometime c:
